Gaels News · DHS welcomes Brandon Black as new Head Football Coach!

Dublin High School is pleased to announce that Brandon Black has been selected as our new Head Football Coach. Brandon graduated from Dublin High in 1995 and was an outstanding athlete during his time at DHS. Brandon is actually an elementary school teacher within Dublin USD, but he has extensive coaching experience. He worked previously on staff at Dublin High (2015-2016), along with serving as an assistant at both Freedom High School in Oakley and one of the largest high schools in the state of North Carolina. Last year he was the coach at Dougherty Valley, transforming the program in just one season where they made the NCS playoffs for the first time in many years after going just 1-9 the season before his arrival. Brandon literally moved back to Dublin from North Carolina with the hope of one day being the head coach here. He has described this as his dream job, and we are very fortunate to have him.
