Gaels News · The DHS Swim and Dive team had a very successful season

The DHS Swim and Dive team had a very successful season. At EBALs we came in 6th place across the board for all levels and genders. We had 16 total individuals and relays qualify for NCS. During NCS we had 3 relays and 7 different individual events final and achieve a second swim. At NCS the team achieved 16th place which is the second highest placement for the team at NCS. The boys were able to achieve 13th place (second highest ever placement) and the girls 15th (tied with highest ever placement). The standout for NCS is our first ever NCS winner, Claire Suen, who placed first in the 100 freestyle. This season we had 11 of our 24 records broken. Finally, we have one swimmer, Frankie Fitzpatrick, has now qualified for the State Meet and has obtained a partial scholarship to swim for the University of the Pacific. Other college news we have a couple of other swimmers that will have the ability to walk on to their NCAA swim team. Our team was also able to achieve an NCS Scholastic Team Award.
